More on student feedback and timely inspirations

More student feedback ideas, and other inspiration at the end of the semester:

I've been thinking about  "You Don't Need a Breakthrough, You Need a Microshift" Links to an external site. since I found it via faculty developer Karen Costa. Links to an external site. Costa explains: "I've been talking to people lately about finding whatever "wiggle room" you can to make a shift toward healing and rest. But microshift works too."

For some end-of-semester cheer, Dr. Laura Ott Links to an external site. suggests sending a congratulatory email to students who did really well in your class.

Some other feedback ideas: asking students to name the top three most important things they learned during the semester Links to an external site., or creating a space for students to reflect on feedback they've received Links to an external site. (as separate from grades).

Happy end of term. Coming up next week: a list of teaching ideas to check out while you're on break.
