This lesson plan is extending what we have been doing in the other two lesson plans. Instead of selecting one subject, however, it is expected that you select two subject matters that this lesson will target. You should therefore have at least two CCSS (one for each subject selected), and the objectives you create should target these CCSS.
If you click on any of the hyperlinks they will give you more information about what needs to be in that section.
For this assignment you will construct only ONE lesson plan. (It can be a mini-lesson, but should have all the components of a well-structured lesson: a clear beginning with explicit instruction, a middle where students are performing the skill, and a clear ending where the skill is reinforced and summarized.) Again, you do NOT need to teach this lesson.
These lessons should be created so that all students in the class can access the lesson and progress in their learning. So they should have UDL components in them—like the first three lessons did.
In this lesson you will identify, through a pseudonym, how at least two individuals on IEPS are having this lesson modified to meet their needs. This will have to go beyond just having UDL principles!!! Please note the students IEP goal and/or how on PLEP A they are having content/delivery/performance modified—and how you went about doing this modification in this assignment!
It is required that you have universal designs for learning and specialized instruction in all of your lesson plan submissions this semester.
Reminder: There should be some form of assessment (even if it’s informal direct observation) that matches the learning objectives in this lesson.
This should be a direct teaching lesson. So it should not be you administering and/or proctoring a test for an entire period.
This assignment, because of competencies, and practicum licensure requirements needs to be in writing.
Please also include a reflection on how this taught lesson went.
