Each week, you will write engage in reflection.  This may be done in writing (300-word reflection paper), in a video or voice recording, in an art piece, or via a conversation with the professor (email to schedule).  This reflection explores your personal thoughts and responses to the ideas covered that week. The purpose of the reflection is to document your thinking throughout the course, to discuss idea and concepts that you find challenging, to think through how the ideas we discussed are relevant to your teaching, and to express your concerns about culturally responsive teaching.

Note: you do not have to answer every question in the prompt - these are just to get you thinking. And if you'd like to write on a topic not mentioned below, that's fine too as long as it touches on one (or multiple) theme of the week.

Prompt: What areas of gender equity, working with trans students, and/or supporting LGBTQ students do you find most exciting? What do you find most challenging? What ideas do you have for ensuring that your classroom is inclusive in terms of gender and sexuality? What are your concerns or anxieties about these topics? Which areas do you see yourself needing to learn more or gather new information? How can you go about doing so?
