Welcome to Week 11!
This week’s Learning Objectives
- Simplify trigonometric expressions using algebra and trigonometric identities.
- Use fundamental trigonometric identities to solve linear trigonometric equations.
- Use fundamental trigonometric identities to solve a single trigonometric function.
- Understand the even and odd trigonometric identities as well as the difference between an even and odd trigonometric function.
Instructor Comments
This week, you will see how we can work with trigonometric identities to simplify trigonometric expressions and solve trigonometric equations.
Again, this week, I'm asking you to watch 2 videos before you look at the PowerPoint for this section.
When simplifying a trigonometric expression, there can be a lot of algebraic manipulation. You also have to be able to recognize which trigonometric identities can be used when going through the process.
This week’s notes are in the form of a PowerPoint file, not a video.
